Brajesh (BG) is a visionary product engineering and technology executive with intense customer and execution focus. He is a successful entrepreneur who has founded, built & sold a disruptive hybrid cloud management startup, ITAPP. As a hands-on engineering leader, he built products that scaled to over 500,000 VMs & Cloud instances across data centers and public clouds, competed & won against vendors like VMware, ServiceNow and many others. His product replaced ServiceNow at one of the fortune 100 companies that led to a successful acquisition by ServiceNow.
Under his leadership, his product won numerous awards including Gartner Cool Vendor, top 20 DevOps player and showcased at Cisco Live Keynote. He is a veteran in Hybrid Cloud space since 2002 before the term cloud was defined. He defined the term enterprise grid computing (former name for Cloud) for Oracle and wrote book on this subject. He started his career as a developer and implemented numerous key features instrumental in improving performance for OLTP and Analytics applications. He has his Bachelors (Computer Science) from IIT Bombay and Masters (Computer Science) from University of Minnesota. His undergrad thesis on Index Concurrency Control Algorithms and Master’s thesis on hierarchical routing algorithms were published in computer science journals. He is very active in the startup ecosystem and also an advisor to a few startups in the valley.
