Patrick Bass, CEO, ThyssenKrupp North America confirmed for IoT Tech Expo Europe 2016
Patrick Bass, CEO, ThyssenKrupp North America confirmed as latest speaker at IoT Tech Expo Europe 2016 in London’s Olympia, 10-11 February.
Patrick will be presenting a case study within the Connected Industry conference in addition to a keynote panel titled: Predictive Maintenance Panel: Harnessing the power of IoT and M2M technology to transform field services and asset management alongside the Head of Global Commercial Developments & Sustainability at DHL, Manoëlla Wilbaut.
Patrick has served as the lead engineer for a number of industry-leading projects such as the design of the elevators and escalators in One World Trade Center as well as development of the preventative maintenance, cloud-based solution used in the industry- leading partnership with Microsoft. In 2013, he was named Executive Vice President, Research & Development , and moved to thyssenkrupp’s Elevator Technology global headquarters in Essen, Germany. While in this role he oversaw product design and the product portfolio strategy for the global Elevator business. Patrick was named CEO of Thyssenkrupp North America, Inc., in October 2014.
As the leader of Thyssenkrupp’s largest regional headquarters, he will be sharing his experiences in making the move from reactive to predictive maintenance and exploring the implementation challenges and how they can be overcome. The effectiveness of analytics technologies for condition monitoring and predictive maintenance will be examined with special considerations for remote assets. Patrick will also discuss how effective the use of IoT for predictive maintenance is in impacting business innovation and strategy.
